You better watch out. Santa does not like it when bad children grow up into even naughtier adults, and when there is no coal left to give, he deals out justice himself.
A young man named Johnny Walker comes to in a dark room lit by Christmas lights. Standing over him are Santa Claus and one of his elves, Ginger. Johnny thinks it is a joke and tells them to drop the Christmas act and say who they really are. Ginger tells him to shut up and listen to what Mr. Kringle has to say.
Santa explains how his system works. Good boys and girls get a handcrafted gift from his workshop. Bad ones get a lump of coal. Most kids grow out of their bad habits, but some never learn. Little Johnny was one of them. As a boy he liked to torture and kill animals, so every year Santa left him a lump of coal to let him know he was being watched.
Santa goes on. When Johnny grew up, killing animals stopped giving him the same rush, so he went after a little girl named Cindy Lou. She was so sweet that she gave each of the gifts Santa's workshop made for her to a classmate who had less. Johnny murdered her, put her in a bag and buried her in the woods like trash. Ten months later, her parents are still hoping she will come home.
Johnny denies all of it. He says they have no evidence, and that even if they found the body they would have nothing on him. Santa and Ginger rough him up, and Johnny ends up bleeding from the mouth while the two of them sing a twisted version of "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" in his face. They demand he tell them where Cindy Lou is and confess, and they keep at him until he gives in.
The last scene is a recorded confession. Johnny sits in front of a Christmas tree and says that earlier this year he murdered a girl named Cindy Lou and buried her in the woods a quarter mile south of Oval Rock, next to a large oak tree. Just before that, a hand holds up a tablet playing the video. The end credits list a police officer among the characters.
The short went up on the StabMovies.com YouTube channel on January 20, 2022, as "Santa's Naughty List (2022) | Short Film." It had 1,006 views when checked in September 2026.
